Welcome to Carolina League Baseball
Carolina League Baseball examines the top prospects that have played in the Carolina League over the past few seasons. The Carolina League is one of the longest running minor league affiliations today, running from 1945 to present. It consists of eight teams in two divisions. Players such as Barry Bonds (1985), Albert Pujols (2000), and Manny Machado (2011) have all played in the Carolina League on their way to the big-leagues. The Carolina League is considered the "High-A" stage of baseball, the fifth step between "rookie" ball and the major league level.
